This Is The Place Heritage Park

Every year This Is The Place Heritage Park does a free admission day, and even adds in a free ice cream too! We went last year, and I felt like we didn't get to see as much as I would have liked. We were newbies to the park, and it was so busy. I was looking forward to a take 2 on this adventure.

Drake had a bad night sleep, and I wasn't as excited to go when I woke up...and decided I wasn't going. Then as the day went on, I got motivation in the form of restless kids. Hahaha. So, we headed up in the afternoon. This ended up being a much better decision than going at opening last year.
There was no line to get on the train, it wasn't as busy, and we definitely got to enjoy it way more this year going later.
Things we did this year, that we didn't last...
panning for gold
a shave in the barber shop
we got to see the candy cannon shot
Things we decided to repeat, because we loved them...
the cute little houses
the train ride
the ice cream
the splash pad
This will definitely be a tradition every year. The kids enjoyed themselves a lot more this year, because we kinda knew what we were doing this time. The gold panning was definitely a favorite, and we stayed there for a good hour+.
