Not Another Project. I am cRazY!

The tile started today. sigh. Savannah is so entertaining. While the tile guy (Ernie) was hammering the old stuff out, Savannah decided to do a little hammering of her own. She got the packaging pops, and got her little hammer. Here is the photo to explain...She loves to be just like "big people". She was making noise right along side Ernie, and said she was helping. =)

As a side note, old tile is gone. Yipee! You can see the medalion in the pictures that will go in the center of our front entry way.

It's Not You It's Me.

Old Blue,
Okay, so maybe it is you. You are not as fun as you once were, and I have outgrown you. I feel like it's time to move on, because I just can't trust you anymore. I'll just say it...I found someone new. I'm sorry. It's not that you were a bad ride. We had a lot of good times together. I just felt like we were growing apart. You'll always have a special spot in my heart, and let's face it Paul still has to love you. xoxoxo
Evonne

My new ride...the silver bullet. ;)

Who knew...

A bathroom could make Paul and Evonne so dang hApPy!! =) It has turned out great so far. Paul said that he wanted to sleep in it.

Thunder

These are the lyrics to my new favorite song Thunder by Boys Like Girls. Today we just happen to have a HUGE thunderstorm/rainstorm. I loved watching the storm...thinking to myself the whole time "bring on the rain". Life isn't always blue skies and roses, but I thought how beautiful the cloudy black sky is. I need to try to enjoy not just the good times, but find the good in the hard times too!

Today is a winding road that's taking me to places that I didn't want to go
Today in the blink of an eye I'm holding on to something and I do not know why I tried
I tried to read between the lines
I tried to look in your eyes
I want a simple explanation
Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know you're unlike any other?
You'll always be my thunder, and I said
Your eyes are the brightest of all the colors
I don't wanna ever love another
You'll always be my thunder
So bring on the rain
And bring on the thunder
Today is a winding road
Tell me where to start and tell me something I don't know
Today I'm on my own
I can't move a muscle and I can't pick up the phone
I don't know
And now I'm itching for the tall grass
And longing for the breeze
I need to step outside
Just to see if I can breathe
I gotta find a way out
Maybe theres a way out
Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know you're unlike any other?
You'll always be my thunder, and I said
Your eyes are the brightest of all the colors
I don't wanna ever love another
You'll always be my thunder
So bring on the rain
Yeah I'm walking on a tightrope
I'm wrapped up in vines
I think we'll make it out
But you just gotta give me time
Strike me down with lightning
Let me feel you in my veins
I wanna let you know how much I feel your pain
Today is a winding road that's taking me to places that I didn't want to go
Whoa
Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know you're unlike any other?
You'll always be my thunder, and I said
Your eyes are the brightest of all the colors
I don't wanna ever love another
You'll always be my thunder
So bring on the rain
And bring on the thunder, and I said
Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know you're unlike any other?
You'll always be my thunder
So bring on the rain
Oh baby bring on the pain
And listen to the thunder

Traditions!

There is always pros and cons to living far away from family. Unfortunately, I think that Savannah is the one that suffers the most. I find myself trying to make up for her not having Grandparents accessible.
I was having a picked on moment today while I made 7 layer bars (a Sell tradition). Besides the fact that I don't cook...I thought I really shouldn't be doing this. I had the same thought while making sugar cookies (a Bulkley tradition). I wish that Savannah's Grandparents could do these things with her. =(
My Grandparents weren't a huge part of my life growing up, and I was always jealous of my friends. It makes me sad that Savannah is growing up so quickly, and it's being missed by important people. Before we all know it Savannah won't want to hang out with any of us. lol
Savannah loves you.
Savannah misses you.
I miss you.
I love you.
I'll keep bloggin', and hope that you can share in my fun memories of Savannah.

PS Debbie, I hope this is how they are suppose to look? I haven't tested them yet to see if I "might" have gotten it right.

24th is a holiday! =)

It was such a fun day. We decided to all contribute $$ to put on a firework show. We ended up with a lot of BIG fireworks, and had a BLAST lighting them all off. Next year we decided it has to be BIGGER and BETTER.

We all went to Artic Circle afterwards for "brown toppers" and "rickey's". The corn dog story will forever be the best memory of my 24th, 2008. (Thanks Vince!)
The girls!Safety first. Yes, Paul makes me wear these when I'm doing fireworks.
Shane by far got the most excited. He was like a 5 year old. It was so fun to watch him.
Jill and Savannah were the audience.
Our sparklers were duds so these are the only one's that we got lit. =)

Is it REALLY Thursday AGAIN?!

My Thankful Thursday is going to be a rambling of different things...

*I am so thankful for Shaner!
*I am thankful for time off work!
*I am thankful for temporary tattoos! They bring hours of giggles and fun for Savannah and I.
*I am thankful for THE DON...(see previous post).
*I am so thankful for my family listening to me this week, and supporting me.
*I can't go a post without saying I'm thankful for my Dyson...lol!
*I am thankful that I can still laugh at myself, and think I'm funny.

The End.
Happy 24th.
Note: Yes, this is day #2 of Kung Fu Panda Pj's!

Karate Kid!!

If you didn't know that Savannah was completely obsessed with Karate...now ya know. This is the tom boy in her (which I love)! I found these pj's for $3 in the boy section...and of course Savannah could not live WITHOUT THEM! The first thing she did when we got home was rip of her dress, and put the pj's on. Then she proceeded to want to watch Karate Kid part 1. She can't wait to start Karate in October. She had to be 4 before they would let her in the "Little Dragons". =)

My twin!

Yeah, I did it...I cut Savannah's long beautiful blonde hair. Unfortunately, this made her look even more like ME! =) She was so proud telling Casey (hair dresser) that she wanted her hair to be just like her Momma's! It made me realize I need to be a better example. She wants to be just like me...SCARY! I love my cRaZy Vannah girl!

oH My dYsOn Part 2

Thank you, thank you, thank you Mrs. Burke for the recommendation. Look at my awesome vacuum lines. I love them...just as much as I love cleaning supplies. So, go ahead and be grossed out by how full it was after my first time vacuuming, because I was. Keep in mind that I just had my carpets cleaned yesterday, and my carpet is only 10 months old! I'm thinking that I might as well write to Dyson, and be their spokeswoman. =) Oh how I love you...let me count the ways!

Monday, July 21, 2008

Oh mY dYsOn.

Let me just say that if I got bad advise from you (you know who you are)...You are going to owe me $500!! =) We gave in and spent the $ for the supposedly AMAZING vacuum. I'll soon find out if I think it's so amazing. I am hoping this will last me at least 10 years (at least).

Mrs Burke: Here is the picture of my Dyson. Do we have the same one?

Remodel - AAAHH...

Our half bath is under construction. =) Paul and I are really starting to get brave. We ripped off the mirror, and are going to put what I call a "pretty mirror" up. We even had to remove the toilet tank to be able to paint. If you know the two of us these are HUGE things for us to attempt. Go ahead and laugh, we aren't handy! I can't say that we are having fun, but it will look amazing when we are done. More pictures to come!

PS I love my new table! It matches so much better than my old one.

primary parade.

Savannah loves everything about being in the Primary. Her teacher, singing, AND activities. Today was the parade around the neighborhood. The kids all got to decorate bikes, scooters, wagons, etc. We decided to decorate our wagon with stars. Savannah thought it was the greatest. The heat almost killed me, but it was worth it to see Savannah so excited.
We were kind of in the middle of everyone.
After the parade we met up for otter pops! Good turn out of kids.
These are the cute boys in my Primary class...Drew and Corbin.

Thankful Thursday!

I sold my dining table on KSL on Saturday (7/12). I had no clue how much I used it until it was gone. We have been sitting on the floor with a table cloth for the whole week. I just have to say one thing...it gives me the biggest gut ache to lean over and try to eat.

This Thursday I'm thankful for the dining table that will be coming tomorrow! Yeah!

Brenda <3

My long time friend Brenda came to visit me today. It is amazing to me that we can go years without really seeing each other, and pick up right where we left off. She is amazing, and REALLY inspires me to be a better person. My first thought when I saw her (edited for blogger) "Dang, Brenda is HOT!" She has this gorgeous long hair, legs that never end, and let's not forget a still flat stomach after having two kids. Can I just say I hate her for these traits! I always remember growing up wishing that I could have gotten some of her height. =) I never would have dreamt that I would still be chattin' with the girl that I just so happened to meet at piano lessons back in I think 1990 ish. We have been through so much together, and I love her for being that girlfriend that kept my deepest darkest secrets. (I sometimes wonder how I could have asked someone to keep such secrets as I made her.) I looked at Brenda today, and thought what a STRONG woman she is. How did I get so blessed to have the awesome girl friends that I have. Along the way I have always had that special someone to lift me when I'm down, listen to me, and wipe my tears. (You all know who you are!)I love you, Ben! You will ALWAYS hold that special place in my heart. I want to be like you someday. You have an awesome personality, and are a smokin' hot mama!! Come visit me again soon. Kisses and Hugs!

Private!

I see the growing trend of people going "private". I guess it mostly bugs me, because I can't "blog browse" as easily. I wonder why though? What are they scared of? Maybe I should be concerned. How many people are "blog browsing" me that I don't know about. One of the blogs that I read often "Simply Me" talked about DeLurking yourself. I thought it was kind of a funny term, but made me want to try something myself.

All ya'll that look at my blog on a regular basis...that have never commented...leave one! I want to know how many people really read my blog, and how many "browsers" I have!? Call it a popularity contest of sorts! (My blog accepts anonymous.) This could be interesting. Don't be shy. I don't care if I don't know you (I have already admitted to being a blog stalker to quite a few people). lol Make sure you leave your name if you are anonymous!

Shout out!

Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. :) If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.
