wordless wednesday: the picture that shoulda, woulda, coulda...

This past week has been a whirlwind. I have taken pictures, but as I looked at all the pictures none of them told the story of just how my week really has been.

So my wordless Wednesday is this...small blurbs of scenarios I shoulda taken a picture of...because they woulda been perfect for a wordless Wednesday post!

Vanessa and I went to Massage Envy to get massages. We were both newbies, and decided that it would be perfect to get a couples massage so we could be there for moral support. We walked in to the room, and you could tell we were both looking around for a little dressing room...um, there wasn't one. We giggled like we were 12 when we realized we would have to dress down in front of each other! =)

Between teething, the flu, two colds, 6 month old shots...Vin has been a gem (insert sarcasm here). There has been more laundry going on in our household than you can imagine, and it is not just from throwing up! Sunday was the BEST blow out Vin has ever had, he really out did himself. It went all the way up to his neckline. It was the kind of blow out that makes you not wanna eat for hours after. I really should have taken a picture for you folks. It would have either made you vomit, laugh, or it would have been very good birth control.

I got "Tango" washed, waxed, and detailed this week. It was definitely picture worthy for that 2 hours until a bird decided to make a mockery of it.

I am sure that I coulda come up with at least a few more stories to leave you with visuals. I will save those for another day.

{5} Pay it Forward Friday

Thrilled that Fall is officially here. I can wear orange every day, and not one person asks me if I am going hunting. When I saw this Halloween decor, I got giddy inside.

Georgie Tees is closing up shop...snag a great deal on a cute baby tee. Vin got one, and I was sad he grew out of his soo fast.

My weight went up...just a little.
196 as of tonight.

Depressing? Maybe just a little.

Did I know that it was going to go up? Why yes I did.

I eat when I am stressed, depressed, and when I am lacking sleep.

I went into survival mode after having Vin be sick, Van be sick, Dr appts, and a few other bumps this week. Honestly I am just glad that I didn't gain everything back!

It will have a better week, because I can't embarass myself with this weight loss.

We are anxiously counting down birthdays in these parts! We love the next 3 months! Last year we bought Van a twin bed set, and really over did it on her birthday. As we were shopping, spending, and having the merchandise delivered on her birthday morning...I was thinking in the back of my mind...how am I ever going to top this birthday next year!?

In the recent months, as you all know, I have worked with CSN stores. I have definitely found this to be my go to site this year for Van's birthday, and it will be for Christmas as well. I have never been an online shopper until now...thanks for CSN stores. I can shop in the comfort of my home and pj's, and they even offer FREE shipping on a lot of their merchandise. So really why wouldn't I shop online, and save me from having to deal with lines, different stores, and all with a baby in tow.

Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue

Van and I were invited to preview Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue. Radio Disney was there pumping up the crowd, kids were dancing in the isles, and all the little one's were anxiously awaiting the movie to begin.


I am definitely no movie critic, but man we loved Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue. I thought that the music was phenomenal...totally caught my attention from the very beginning.

Of course it will definitely be something that we will add to our movie collection.

Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue will be available in stores September 21st...which is today. Are you going to go and get it, because I know we are!!?

Sorry I didn't do this on Friday. Crazy Friday, sick baby weekend, and voila...it is now Monday.

Thank you Boob Nazi for introducing me to My Fitness Pal. I have to give credit where it is due. I think this website is the #1 reason I have lost weight.


When I was having a picked on moment, I read this post by my friend Emily...and seriously I had nothing on her bad week. Now she is soakin' up the sun in So Cal, and visiting the Ellen Show...so really I can feel picked on again.

6 months.

today vin is 6 months old.

i would say i was disappointed, but i enjoy all the new stages.

he is rolling over.

he is sitting up.

he is close to crawling.

he has one cute little tooth.

he is high maintenance.

he is only happy when being completely entertained.

and guess what?

he has the flu. =(

week one.

It has been one heckofa week. I have done fairly well on my "diet" (I really hate that word). I haven't really done a lot of serious working out. I decided I will do everything gradually. Probably not the best approach, but I am trying a different one since I tried the gung ho approach 1,258,654,952 times and it never worked.

Last week I was 202.4
This week I am 195.8

Yes, I have had progress.

No, my clothes are still fitting the same. =(

BUT you know what I have noticed the most that is not so swell? My mood.

The past two days I have been unbearable...my poor family and coworkers. I have had multiple good cries. I am irritable. I say things that are hurtful...and then I wonder if it is even worth being on a "diet".

Paul must have known I was going completely crazy, and I might just explode at any moment...and he was right. So he went and bought Vin some new jammies, and dressed him cute for bed. I love Paul for this, because it made my night when I woke up with him, it made my morning when I went to pick him up from the crib again, and today I am a whole new woman...all from an $8 pair of jammies. Who knew? Paul did, and it is the simple things that make his crazy wife happy.

Here is to another week of weight loss, getting out and riding that Schwinn bike, and eating better for me and my family!

school is rawkin' our world.

Van is loving Kindergarten. Who wouldn't really...recess, snacks, coloring, awesome teacher, and all the friends you could as for. She has already learned so much in such a short time, I can't wait to see her progression at the end of the year.

It is amazing how differently we look at things now that Van goes to school. All of the sudden those Box Tops that I thought were sooo silly...mean something. As soon as we come home from the grocery shopping, Van is frantically cutting out the Box Tops and shoving them in her back pack to take to school.

I have really started to look for products just to buy so that we can have more Box Tops. Totino's is giving away 10,000 Bonus Box Tops, school supplies and free Totino's snacks to eight lucky schools through the "Make School a Better Place Sweepstakes!" . Not only that, but Totino's is also offering double Box Tops on all of their products as well...you better believe we bought some! Oh yes...I have become that Mom who wants to help at school, bring the most Box Tops, and whatever else I have to do to make this experience for Van a positive one!

maybe because van is in school now...everything kindergarten/school related/helping teachers...I wanna do a shout out for. So here it all is...

my friend Frieda posted about All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten...and it made me ooey gooey inside to think Van is a Kindergartener.

van came home with holes in the knees of her tights, and when I asked her what happened...a boy had pushed her down at recess. =( I wish I could always be there to stand up for her, and protect my girl. then I read this post, and I kinda freaked out. parents please teach your children to be nice. please. i know van isn't perfect, but respect is something we take very seriously.

my teacher friend Michelle is trying to get supplies to teach 120 students ASL. go read what she has to say, and vote for her. she would love you forever.

why can't I wait for van to get school pictures? so excited. really. Fotofly does school pictures...I am secretly hoping that is who does the pictures at her school. I just scheduled a session with them, because of all the fantastic photos my blogger friends are showing off! =)

character clothes.

I had a strong opinion of what I call "character clothes"...up until this weekend. I think it was just Friday that I was telling Jill that I would never, ever like 'em. Nope not me. Then it happened. BAM!

I was looking for Vin some new pj's, and everything in the boy section has something on it. I saw these Buzz Light Year pj's...and I just couldn't resist. Mostly because I knew Van would love them on her little brother. I came straight home, put them on him, and then guess what happened? I fell in love with them. He looks like such a boy in them, and I can't resist smiling when I look at him covered in Buzz.

Tell me I'm crazy. I kinda think I am myself.

we {heart} crayola.

What screams going to school and coloring more than Crayola? We are huge fans of Crayola crayons at our house...just ask Auntie Jill who took on the task of down sizing Van's out of control crayon box this past weekend. =)

Even though Van has plenty of crayons, she never has enough markers. We could buy her a new pack every weekend, because this girl likes to ink up everything. I adore all my notes, pictures, and art work so I wouldn't have it any other way.

While shopping for Van's school supplies I saw these black barrelled markers that were made from Crayola, I wondered why the change. Turns out they are making their mark by going green. When they use black plastic they can use more recycled plastic products. Who knew that black would be the new "green"!? Pretty awesome eh? I know it makes me wanna buy Crayola that much more.
