Best Fried Chicken...

Even though I don't cook, I am completely addicted to watching Food Network. My favorite chef is definitely Anne Burrell. Mostly because she is so darn weird, and I like weird. She makes all sorts of funny noises while she cooks, and says random things. It screams Von!

I started thinking the other day about my food reviews that I do. A review is obviously just an opinion, right!? Just because I eat a lot, and go to a lot of different places...definitely doesn't make me an expert. I like In N Out for a good cheeseburger, but I know there are a lot of lovers of Five Guys...which I don't like. So, I have an idea...

If you watch Food Network you have seen the show The Best Thing I Ever Ate. If you haven't it basically is all the Food Network chef's chiming in on what they think the best of the best is in certain categories...like fried food, etc.

I will name a type of food. I will tell you what my favorite place to go is for that food, and then I want you to tell me I'm right...or name a place that serves it better.

Ready...Set...Go...

Best Fried Chicken...
Please don't tell me you think KFC has the best fried chicken you have ever had, okay? We might not be able to be friends.
I recently found a place that serves fried chicken and waffles. I have always wondered what the craze was about...and now I know. The Red Rooster Waffle Company makes it, and makes it sooo well. They make it so well, that we have gone once a week ever since finding out.

The crisp of the chicken is perfect. All white meat. Best tangy dipping sauce. AND then they add that waffle. I swear it has something in it to make it absolutely addicting.
Okay...here is where you tell me a better place for fried chicken, or agree with me...that's okay too!
The Red Rooster is located in Jordan Landing.
The address is 7742 S Campus View Drive.
You can thank me later!

Chicken on waffles? We must not do that here in my neck of the woods, lol

Mark loves Red Rooster. I've never tried this, though. I'll suck it up and just do it.

Hmmm, I may have to give it a retry. Adam and I went there and I did get the chicken and waffles and wasn't horribly impressed. The best chicken and waffles I've had was at The Hash House in Vegas.

Oh, and The Best Thing I Ever Ate featured Le Madeline's on State Street, so I need to get my fat butt in there again.

I love Anne Burrell! Love her.

Actually, I love anything Food Network. Bust especially Anne.

I never eat fried chicken, so I can't help you out here. I am not a fan of it. Am I weird? Are we still friends? However, I am intrigued and would definitely try fried chicken and waffles. Let's go sometime. :)

I never knew they had chicken and waffles in our neck of the woods. Just thought it was a down south thing.

Last time I had fried chicken that I actually liked was in LA at Rosco's chicken and waffles.

That's not much help. I'll have to try out the roosterballs.

I wondered who was going to say Rosco's...this place if famous!

It sounds like something worth trying... I need cash... I'll let you know what I think when I get a chance. What a fun idea.
