remember me.

(A self portrait that I did.)

Do you ever wonder what people will remember you by?

Will Paul always remember me by our walks to Kmart looking for change in those years before our children came along?

Will Van remember me by our slip and slide fun?

Will Landon remember me by our duets late at night in the office?

What do you really want to be remembered by?
Something small like...your great hair.
Something big like...some service tour around the world.
Something like...the best baker in the neighborhood.
Tell me.

I'd like to be remembered as the best baker in the neighborhood...although that is unlikely to happen because none of my neighbors talk to each other.

Well, Kristina's already achieved her goal! As for me, I am still debating. I'd like to be known for something nifty and servicey, but right now I'd like to be known for being a cool mom, the kind of mom who has a home all her kids want to bring their friends to hang out.

I want my family to remember me for all the important stuff like how I love unconditionally, how unselfish and compassionate I am, and how patient I am, everyone else can just remember my great body and hair.

I want to be remembered as someone who overcame a lot and did what she wanted to do with her life.

I often think about who would come to my funeral and what they would say. And who would cry the hardest. You know, self-centered things like that.

That is a good question. I guess I want to be remembered as a good person. I know it is very general... but I am boring like that.

I just want to be known for anything other than a cupcake lover. Although, that's not half bad...

I want to be remembered as the best soft pretzel maker.

But mainly I want to be remembered as a good aunt, who took lots of pictures and pulled funny faces to make them smile, and snuck them gum when mom said no. :)
