See I have this pRobLem!!

Don't they say that the first step on the road to recovery is to admit you have a problem. I have a cleaning supply addiction. I can't help myself. I love the way they smell, the way they make my house look, and each one does something completely different...which is why I have to buy one of EVERYTHING!
I started to make a list of my favorite cleaning supplies for each task. Maybe this way I can just stick with my list, and not have to buy the "new" hot products. =)

floors - The old stand by Pine Sol. I have used Fabuloso (I think that is what it is called...comes in a variety of colors...and is fairly inexpensive), but I think I'm always going to be in love with Pine Sol.

cabinets - Murphy's Oil. It has a great smell, and puts that great shine on dusty cabinets.

tubs and bathroom sinks - I've used a lot of different products, but I always come back to Comet Bathroom Spray. I also use a magic eraser in my bath tubs. It makes all the ding go quickly away!

counter tops - I LOVE 409! The end.

stainless steel - They sell these handy wipe thingy's...just like a Clorox wipe, but for stainless steel of course. Very helpful for all of Savannah's little finger prints. I am pretty sure they are made by Pledge.

toilets - I use the Lysol toilet bowl cleaner w/bleach. Some of these have odd smells, but I like Lysol products in general. The only downside to this one is that if you don't get back to the bowl that day (Okay, sometimes I forget...don't judge me!) the blue stuff doesn't come off very easily. =(

all surfaces - I have already admitted to my love for Clorox wipes, but honestly I should say that I like the Mr Clean wipes better. I bought some new wipes this week, and I like them for my desk at work...They are the Lysol Dual Action wipes. They have a scrubby material on one side, and soft on the other. Great for gross germs that men have left at my desk before I get there! =)

dishwasher - I really like the Electrosol Gel packets. I tried the Dawn gel packets, and wasn't impressed. This is Savannah's job, and her little hands sometimes are a little wet when she gets the packet out. The Dawn packets stuck all together with a little water on them, and made for A HUGE mess! The Electrosol packets do not. Savannah can still help out. Yeah for Mommy!

dishes - I really, really, like the smell of the blue Dawn. I sometimes will just wash my hands with this. Weird huh!? But it does clean my dishes well too!

Of course I could ramble about this stuff for hours. I haven't tried the Green Works stuff...does it work? I want the inside scoop! Fill me in on good cleaning supplies...and they have to smell semi-descent (my nose is SUPER sensitive). Hopefully by getting this out I will just stick with what I know works instead of always needing to try something new! (A girl can always hope.)

I am so with you! I love cleaning products. I have been a little sad because we have been shopping at Costco for a year or two so when I buy cleaning stuff I have less options. :(

But I love, love, love Spic n Span for my kitchen floors. It seems to repel the dirt more than a few other products so I have to scrub it less, which I am totally fine with! :)

I have a super sensitive nose too. I check every smell out before I buy it. Okay, like 15 times. When I wash my laundry I smell everything before and after I fold it. I'm a dork. I LOVE smells, but only the good ones. Bad ones make me gag, bad!

What do you use for your stove top? I love using Magic Eraser, and 409, but it's not my most favorite.

I also love Clorox/Lysol wipes! I haven't tried the Mr. Clean ones yet.

Oh, and can I mention, I LOVE foaming soap. I really, really like the redish Dial kind! It smells good. (although that is a whole nother post. ) I love smells.

What is your favorite shampoo smell?

I better go before I get totally off topic, oh wait, I am!

Thanks for the exciting post! :) It made me happy!

I have had this problem for years, I believe ever since I was 18 years old. I need everything tidy and in it place. I alway have a lot of cleaning supplies because when you have a big clean up area you heavy duty cleaning supplies where as a little area you could definately use a wipe or something. Below my sink in the kitchen is filled with cleaning products. I love the lemon pine sol for years I used the pine pine sol. I also love the scent of the purple windex 409 excellent and cleans very good. I use it in the bathroom on the mirrors, on the tv. on the outside of the refrigator, and anywhere there is glass and works great on metals. I use lysol in my kitchen and bathroom because being a nurse I am always worried about bacteria and lysol kills like 99.9% of bacterias. I use the works for my tub and showerdoors and toilet bowl cleaner. The works has a strong smell but boy does it clean without all the scrubbing involved. I do not have a senitive nose because I think i lost my sniffer when I was young due to my mother mixing supplies to gehter like bleech and pine sol. for my cabinets I use pledge mostly the lemon smell. I love snuggle for my laundry because it gives the clothes that extra little smell. I guess I am just as additted. Dale always says when we go to wally world (wal*mart) do you really need that I think we have some under the the sink in the kitchen, I always say not this one its a new flavor. I also love frebreeze makes the house smell 100% better in seconds. This stuff is amazing. THank for having the same obession as me..

I think it is so funny that we women have such long posts about cleaning products! I have to put my two cents in for Lime A Way and for CLR. I do not use CLR often because it is so caustic but boy it gets the job done! Lime A Way makes my showers nice.
I have to say that I LOVE the green works!!! It smells fantastic and I don't have to panic about Grayson and Alora helping me clean (the reason I do not use Lysol toilet bowl cleaner with bleach!!!)
I also use the electrosol gel packs. They make my kitchen smell great when I use the dishwasher.

I must admit that I love Clorox wipes. I didn't know they made some with a scrubby side... I'll have to check Mr. Clean out. Your post was interesting to read and kept me laughing.

LOL. This is a hilarious post. I enjoy the Green Works, although it's very multi-purpose which may drive you nuts since you like to have a different cleaning supply for each part of your house! =)
