Food Review: In and Out Burger

The reviews are back, and I couldn't be more thrilled about it. I started getting sick around week 6 of this pregnancy...it didn't stop until week 21...I have gone weeks, yes I said WEEKS without throwing up! This feels like pure heaven! I still crave stuff, but thank goodness the Del Taco bean and cheese burritos with green sauce are not in those cravings anymore. That is cause for celebration right there, huh? There is all sorts of talk in Utah with In and Out Burger opening up all over. I am pretty sure that the first day that the Provo location was opened it had something like a 2 1/2 hour wait in the drive thru. Paul is from California, we have eaten at In and Out Burger before, but I don't remember it tasting that good. I had talked a bunch of trash about In and Out Burger at work. I had said that it wasn't worth all of the hype. I had to go to work today, and retract all my statements. We were hungry early for lunch, we are talkin' 10:00 AM early. We decided to try it out because there wasn't a line for lunch that early. Paul's cheeseburger was a double-double. I just had a regular cheeseburger. It was mouth-watering good. I couldn't believe how in love I was. I actually wanted it for dinner too!
And then there were the fries, oh the fries! We had them "animal style". I definitely did not think that I would like them, but I could seriously just lick the fry sauce up with no problem. Divine.
I even had to eat at Five Guys today, and guess what? I still don't like it. Sorry. I had a gut ache for hours, and I didn't even order fries. In and Out Burger just might be our new place for awhile.

It's so funny how divided people are on this subject.

I grew up in Southern California too, and I am just not a fan, especially of their fries. I think they are disgusting.

But I dream about Five Guys. I love their burger, and their fries are handcut and completely fresh.

I *hate* hamburgers... the only place I will eat one is at Hires... my parents took me to 5 guys the day I bought my house and I loved it! If you don't like the burgers, I would suggest the grilled cheese, that is yummy too! BUT, I am curious about in-n-out due to all the hype (hello?! Who sits in a drive thru for TWO HOURS for a freakin burger?) so I'm sure I will check it out sooner or later... maybe when the jordan landing one opens

I am so excited about In-n-out being here! When we go to CA to visit the inlaws we literally plan our vacation in order to eat there at least twice.

Although. . . the fries really are not my favorite. The burgers, though. . . mmmmmmmmmm

The only times I've eaten at In N Out was when I was vacationing in California - and I LOVED them! But I'm not sure if it was because they really are that good? Or if it was because I was on vacation? You know... everything tastes good on vacation.
So, I'm anxious to try them again, here - once the lines die down a little...

How long did it take you to get through??

zero wait in lines, because we ate so early. It is all I think about in my spare time. =)

I am going to have to try those fry's! They look yummy-- I will probably wait until I go back to Vegas though so I don't have to wait!

I am definitely a Five Guys fan more than In-n-Out, but when I do hit an In-n-Out I have to get my burger animal style along with the fries AND a chocolate shake. So good! If Five Guys added shakes I would never again set foot in an In-n-Out. Five Guys = cheese, bacon, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, tomato, lettuce & a little mayo. Oh, and don't forget the Cajun fries and fry sauce!

We could definitely eat together. I really don't like Five Guys, but I ♥ me some In 'N' Out! We went there Friday night and it was divine.

Next time you go, get the Neopolitan shake. It's all three shake flavors together, and I love it.

Love In-n-Out!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE IN AND OUT. HOWEVER DALE AND I ONLY GET IT WHEN WE WENT TO CALIFORNIA, SO IT HAS BEEN A WHILE.
IT SEEMS LIKE THEY ARE EXPANDING EAST NOW, SO HOPEFULLY IN 15-20 YEARS THEY WILL FINALLY REACH WISCONSIN WITH THERE FAST FOOD CHAIN... THAT WILL BE INCREDIBLE.

Can't believe you had NO WAIT! I drove by an Inn & Out on my way to Target the other day and the line of cars wrapped all the way around the building and way down the street.

I dig their stuff, sure! But just thinking of all the time and gas money wasted, all in the name of a burger - I can live without until all the hype wears off. :)

I had only ate at In N Out ONCE before they came here. It was just okay. Then I waited in line at the Draper one for 30 minutes. Now I want one everyday. I have had THREE double double's this week. Yes, THREE. Luckily, the Jordan Landing one is a LOT less crowded. Waited no more than 15 minutes I don't think. I really like the fries, too- but Mark is IN LOVE with them. We usually share fries, but he needs his OWN order at In N Out. I'm with ya on Five Guys. Their fries are are near the bottom on my list of favorite fries. In N Out fries are fresh cut, too, by the way.

How funny. I feel the same way you felt. It's good but not THAT good. Guess I need to make a visit too!
