breaking up is hard to do.

Everyone reads Cjane, right?  Do you watch her vlogs?  Well, if you happened to miss this one, go watch it, because it is really what got me thinking.

Not to long after that I ran into another post from "The Motherboard"...and I stored that bit of goodness in my brain.

Along came yesterday when Kamie posted, and by the end of the night...I decided to delete my Facebook.
gasp.

The truth is I am addicted to Facebook.  I check it more than I like to admit.  I spend hours on end reading, commenting, and looking at pictures.  I don't have the self control to not look so instead of taking a break, I had to delete it.
Even though I am addicted, it is definitely a love/hate relationship. I spend more than half the time hating it, and the small percentage loving it.

I love the BIG announcements of babies, engagements, and what not.

I hate the constant complaining.  I do this too.

I love asking all my questions, and hearing what everyone has to say.

I hate that it is all about how many friends you have.  I am a quality not quantity kinda of person.

I love that my friends are funny, quirky, and make me laugh.

I hate the way Facebook makes me feel, and that my friends...is why I had to delete it.

I look at this as a new trend...like when every went private on their blogs, and I didn't.  I won't have a Facebook, and everyone else will.

whoa, now that I got that off my chest...let's get back to blogging...shall we!

post edit:  I kinda want copy Kamie and to a "Facebook Friday"...ya know tell me what happened in Facebook world that I missed.  I wish I would have come up with the idea, because it is cool!

I am just glad you didn't get rid of your blog! :) Maybe I wanna be just like you and Kamie and get rid of my fb too! :) I am getting close to closing mine. I also spend WAY TOO much time on facebook!

I haven't checked out your blog in a llllooonnnnggg time!! I'm sorry your kids have been sick. I'm sorry fb has gotten to be to much.
Change is good. I think it helps us be better people and it also helps us find ways to do other fun and important things. As long as "change" doesn't happen to us or should I say me to often, I'm a happy camper.:)
Have you been outside today? It's awesome!!

Look at us, changing lives one at a time. :)

I'm kidding.

I think you should have a what-i-would-have-said-on-facebook friday too. DO IT! :)

Doesn't it feel so good? I am so dang happy.

go you! Most of the time FB just annoys me. I would totally delete my account if most of my family/friends were not in a different state. FB is an easy way for me to keep up to date on all of them.
Are you just a little scared that you can't unfriend me because I know where you live??

I admire you! You're awesome! I'm wishing all my family members that are on facebook would just become my avid readers, but I can't seem to get them on board...

Now I have that song stuck in my head (not sure you meant to get the "breaking up is hard to do" song stuck in my head, but well, it's better than the uber-lame Rebecca Black "Friday" song that's been in there far too long).

I'm proud of you. I admit. I will miss you, but as long as we have some form of communication (I need more Von in my life!) then I can be happy for you. Facebook is definitely a time-waste and I spend far too much time on it as well.

Welcome to the very tiny world of people without Facebook! You'll love it here; we have cupcakes. :)

I am fine with FB, because I honestly check it very infrequently, have no idea how many Friends I have, nor do I care. I spend way more time on blogs than FB.

I wondered about CJane. I don't read very often, but I can't remember how it was that I noticed she was no longer on FB.

You go, girl! (I seem to say that to you a lot...LOL) I'm not nearly as addicted to FB as I was when I first got my account, so fo rme it's maybe an extra 5 minutes a day. But if it gets to be 6 1/2, I will probably do the same. ;)

Facebook can be so much drama! I definitely love reading your blog and am glad I can still see pictures of your baby boy's adorable cheeks.

I am glad I still get to hear what you guys are up to through your blog. Thanks for sharing. I love to see how the kids are doing and keep up with you guys.

good for you. I don't even have a Facebook account and at first I thought that I would miss out on everything. But, I am just as happy -if not more- talking to my friends on the phone, emailing them and keeping up with their lives via blogs and zumba! Plus, my mom and sil have an account and they post me on the happenings.
