nails

I had "fake" nails put on most of my teens. I stopped just shortly after Paul and I were married. It was too expensive for our newlywed budget. I started having them done again about 6 or so months ago. I love them, and after you hear this story it will just show you how much I do.
I must have an allergic reaction to the "primer" that they use that makes the acrylic stick. Approximately 24 hours after I would get my nails done, my cuticles would swell up, and hurt like a mother. It was excruciating pain. It would last a few days, and go away. What wouldn't go away was the dry cuticiles. They always looked horrendous, but my nails looked good. =)
Today I decided to rip my "fake" nails off. I am not as sad to see them go as I thought. You would not believe how good my cuticles already look.
Instead of getting "fake" nails, I have decided to have a "pedi party" with the gals. Who is with me? It will be in the Salt Lake Valley on a Saturday. I would like to get a count of who would be interested so that I can book a salon. LMK.

aww how fun!! I wish I actually knew you so I could come too haha

And have you always gone to the same place to get your nails done? Because maybe it's just the place that does it that did something wrong to make your cuticles swell up.

I used to get my nails done all the time before kids and I miss it. I've never had a pedicure. I think I'm a little afraid they would see my feet and cry!
