Food Review: Normandie

If any of you were able to attend the lunch at the Mom's Who Make It Conference you were able to experience lunch from Normandie. I had never heard of this, but it was love at first site when I saw our "box lunches"! I chose the Roasted Chicken Salad Croissant, All American Pasta Salad, and for dessert...the eclair! I absolutely LOVED my sandwich. It was literally the BEST Chicken Salad sandwich that I have ever had. I could eat one right now, if only they were open. =)
The salad looked very appetizing, but it was a little dry. I could have definitely had a little more flavor. Just sayin'.
AND then there was the eclair...bliss! Does this picture sum it up??If you ask me if I would actually go to Normandie...the answer would be YES.
If you ask me if I would try something new...the answer would be NO. I loved my sandwich that much.
Have you been to Normandie? What do you recommend? Never been, but wanna go now...
Normandie is on 1984 E Murray Holladay Rd...in Salt Lake City.
Dieting is not for me, a muffin top is what I'll be.

hmmm looks delish!

We tried out your El Paisa Mexican Restaurant this afternoon, it was good. But maybe I need to try something else... I ordered a chimichunga meal, it was a bit dry and needed a bit more more flavor but was still good. I found a piece of wire in my salad (from like a wire scrubbie or something?) that was a bit un-appetizing..but over all is was alright. The salsa was good and had just the right kick! We may go back and try it again sometime, who knows. If I would have known your number I would have totally called you to go with us..to bad I don't have internet on my cell!

Anywho Have a great week!

I already sent an e-mail to Jakell about her experience at El Paisa. I feel so bad, but just to give ya'll a heads up...I haven't had anything but what I feature in my post. I don't always branch out, and so sometimes I can only vouch for that menu item. boo! Sorry!

LOVED Normandie. I too had the chicken croissant and it was super tasty! And those eclairs were make out worthy!

Wasn't it yummy?! I'm so glad you liked it & everything was packaged soooo pretty. Honestly, the salad was a fluke. I was disappointed with mine as well. When I had it in their restaurant, it was "lick the plate" delicious, but not so scrumptious at MWMI '09. You gotta try it in person & tell me when you go so I can have an excuse to go eat there again (Rachael would totally be there, too, since it's one of her favorite places) - YUM!!!
