I am still wondering what Van will do with all of her time once Summer is over. She can spend countless hours chasing after bugs. Paul and I still can't figure out where her love for these creatures came from...neither of us even want to come near the things.

These are the cutest pictures! We have those all OVER our backyard, too. In fact, one landed on Sage's arm the other day and we BOTH were freaking out about it...
Honestly, I get a little freaked looking at that close up of her holding the TWO of them... AGH!

aww, that is so darling! I hate those things too, but sure loved bugs as a kid! Van's smile is priceless! Maybe in the winter she can built a snow fort or something (OR, even better, let her capture a few "friends" to keep inside for the winter!)

How funny! When I was a kid we'd tie strings around their necks and walk around with them (weird, I know - but they were our pets) I don't know why - I'm repulsed by them now!

Wow! Van is brave!!! Maddie is extremely freaked out by the smallest bugs. She thinks flys are bees and screams till I get it. Your lucky you got a kid that loves grasshoppers!! That is one bug that I can not be around! They give me the creeps! Van is one up on me!

I can't even look at the pictures without feeling a little nervous. I hate bugs. Can I borrow her to come and get all the bugs out of my bedroom? Somehow crickets have found their way in and I'm not the one to get them out!
