Surprise!

There is one thing about my little family that you might not know...we don't ever just sit home. The past couple of days sitting home have been more than difficult for all of us. Despite all the red box rentals, treats, and new books, we are still bored.
I finally broke and left Paul behind, and Van and I had a date night. It was Paul's idea to make it a surprise for Van. Boy was it good to get out of the house, and have some fun girly time. I think Van liked the surprise part the best. =)To make it extra special, I let Van pick all of the music in the car...her play list included Beyonce and Blue October. I rarely let Van roll down the windows in the car, but today was her day...we rolled down the windows, and were singin' like rock stars. Van will tell you that I wasn't very good at making the "ti-ER" stay on...so we opted for this method of surprise...We didn't do anything expensive or out of the ordinary, but it was a perfect night.We did get enough tickets from playing all of the games to get Van a set of these hott lips. It is always amazing to me how excited a child can get over something so small. I love it.Thank you Van for my hott date! I can't wait for our next one, are you available this weekend?
